My Little Baby

Available for the June 1st launch of Samsung's Wave phone.

IMMEDIATE NEWS RELEASE

26th May 2010

Your chance to take care of a sweet little baby from the comfort of your own phone is now here! The Samsung Wave S8500, from leading mobile phone provider Samsung, is available from 1st June, and the launch game App for this brand new handset from leading independent Italian videogames developer, Raylight, is “My Little Baby”, a fun baby-care 3D simulation game.

Developed specifically for Samsung’s new mobile platform, bada, “My Little Baby” gives you the chance to change diapers, bath and feed your virtual baby, and the daily chores - shopping, cooking, cradling your baby to sleep, dressing or teaching them to crawl, stand and walk - make up just some of the mini-games and challenges. But most of all, baby needs your love to be really happy: heaps of cuddles, playing and taking care will make them recognise you as their parent.

Raylight has developed new features exclusively for “My Little Baby” on the Samsung Wave, such as the use of the camera, accelerometer and face-tracking, as well as the touch sensitive interface. Full of different interactive features and mini-games, “My Little Baby” is as absorbing as ever and with the impressive 3D performance of the new Super AMOLED display on the Wave, graphics are even better.

Massi Di Monda, CEO and co-founder of Raylight says: “We are the only Italian developer to have a game available on this platform for the launch of the Samsung Wave, and we are excited to be involved, particularly as ‘My Little Baby’ is such a fun product. We think the Wave is going to be enorme - huge. It offers great Apps and versatility, with something for everyone.”

Raylight’s “My Little Baby”, is part of the active ecosystem around the platform via app store Samsung Apps. Samsung Apps will be available in 80 countries when the Wave launches.

Samsung's bada system also allows you to customise the phone to make sure it's how you want it. You can make home screens - up to seven - to do different things. This allows you to have a works home page, one for fun and another 5 set ups allowing you to combine the perfect mix of apps and widgets. “The Samsung Wave represents our strategy to deliver rich, exciting smartphone experiences to everyone,” said JK Shin, President and head of the Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics. “This launch will make our platform vision a reality and consumers, developers and operators will experience the freedom of choice that bada enables.”
