Music from B-Boy Audio CD Announced

Universal Music Catalogue To Release BAFTA Nominated Soundtrack

13th September 2006. Warwick, UK. FreeStyleGames, one of the UK's most exciting and dynamic new game development studios, today announced the forthcoming release of Music From B-Boy - 18 fantastic selections from the soundtrack and the news of a BAFTA nomination.

FreeStyleGames and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have agreed a partnership with Universal Music Catalogue to release an audio CD entitled Music From B-Boyof the tracks included in their game, B-Boy . The soundtrack celebrates the release of B-Boy the game on October 6th on PlayStation®2 and PlayStation®Portable. Ultra credible and in tune with the b-boy scene, the game features real b-boys, real locations and an awesome soundtrack.

The soundtrack has already received rave reviews and recognition from inside and outside the games industry. As well as the announcement of a BAFTA nomination earlier this week, reviews have already poured in.

FHM's games editor, Simon Munk said, "If you spent your youth spinning on a piece of lino, these authentic b-boy classics carry the Crazy Legs seal of approval for good reason. If you wouldn't know a windmill from an uprock, who cares? These soul and funk classics are guaranteed floor-filling monster party tunes.

The soundtrack, due for release later this month, features classics from James Brown, Jackson 5, Kool and The Gang and Nina Simone alongside contemporary hits including Bringing it Back by The Black Eyed Peas.

Jamie Jackson, Director of FreeStyleGames commented, "Throughout the development of B-Boy we've worked very closely with the Hip-Hop community to ensure we deliver an authentic experience and offer the very best tracks available. We're stoked to have received such widespread recognition and to have agreed partnerships with the likes of Universal Music Catalogue & Babe Ruth'.

Sergio Pimentel, Music Licensing and A&R Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment added, 'It's been a great pleasure to work with FreeStyle on B-Boy. We're delighted that so many major artists have provided tracks for the game. I'm very proud of the end result, the soundtrack release and BAFTA nomination is the icing on the cake... bring it on!'

Daryl Easlea from Universal Music Catalogue concluded, "By dipping into our wonderful Motown, Polydor and Island archives, this a perfect way to introduce some fantastic heritage acts to a new audience and to show how the past and the future fit sweetly hand-in-hand."

Music From B-Boy will be released on CD on 30th October 2006
