Mumbo Jumbo acquires Hot Lava

Casual games company Mumbo Jumbo has acquired Russian studio Hot Lava, developer of the 7 Wonders series.

Casual games company Mumbo Jumbo has acquired Russian studio Hot Lava, developer of the 7 Wonders series.

Former Hot Lava CEO Matt Lichtenwalter will now join Mumbo Jumbo as the new vice president of product development.

"Mumbo Jumbo stands firmly behind its commitment of bringing high-quality casual game content, across multiple platforms, to the mass market through both its digital and retail distribution channels," commented Ron Dimant, founder of Mumbo Jumbo.

"Matt has an in-depth understanding of the development process and we are proud to bring on board the fresh and creative talent that both he and his team have to offer.

"We feel that this move further supports Mumbo Jumbo's position as a leader in premium casual games," said Dimant.

Earlier this year Mumbo Jumbo acquired SiN Episodes developer Ritual Entertainment.
