Moore to deliver speech at DigitalLife event

Organisers of the DigitalLife event, scheduled to take place in New York City this October, have announced that Xbox vice president Peter Moore will open the conference with a keynote address.

Moore's speech will focus on the arrival of next-generation consoles and how they will transform home entertainment, bringing gaming to consumers of all ages.

Attendees will get the chance to take a close look at Microsoft's new Xbox 360 console, slated for a worldwide launch in time for Christmas 2005.

"The future of videogames is truly based on the convergence of entertainment and technology, an area where Microsoft is a market leader," said Monica Vila, VP of event organiser Ziff Davis Media.

"We look forward to Peter's unique, comprehensive perspective on this topic."

DigitalLife will run from October 14-16 at New York's Javits Center. More information is available from the official DigitalLife website.
