Mobile Phones Set For Total Overdose

September 27th. Total Overdose^TM one of the coolest, craziest, most action-packed video games ever created is coming to mobile phones thanks to Kayak Interactive's European subsidiary Synergenix, licensed from one of the world's leading publishers of entertainment software, Eidos Interactive.

Total Overdose puts players in the shoes of Ramiro Cruz, a convict released from jail to help his twin brother - a DEA agent - hunt down the gang responsible for their father's death. What follows is a full-on, fast-paced, adventure through the Mexican underworld with more guns and gangs than a fortnight's holiday in Tijuana.

Released to critical acclaim on console format by Eidos, in September 2005, the mobile version of the game has been created by Impressionware, one of the world's leading development studios for the creation of games for mobile phone handsets.

The media has already picked up on the unique gameplay of Total Overdose. The console version of the game was announced the 'Sleeper Hit Of The Show' at E3 2005 and was one of the runners-up for the 'Best Xbox Game'.

Total Overdose on mobile phones features the same intense gameplay as the original console game. Player's must fight their way through four different environments, from the downmarket heart of Los Toros, through to the burning heat of the desert, using every weapon and vehicle they can lay their hands on. Total Overdose uses a unique slow-motion feature to allow players to perform stunts and special 'loco moves' to take out the bad guys.

Synergenix will be releasing Total Overdose on mobile phones in October 2005. The game will be available for all of the leading Java handsets through all major network operators, portals and retail channels.
