Jeff Bell, formerly vice president of product strategy at DaimlerChrysler, will join Microsoft on June 12th in the role of corporate VP, global marketing for the interactive entertainment business.

He will report directly to Xbox exec Peter Moore, who commented: "Jeff brings a unique mix of consumer experience and innovation to the interactive entertainment business."

"His accomplishments at DaimlerChrysler, including the creation of its owner loyalty program, his track record in driving automotive video game strategies, and his influence on urban marketing plans, are indicators of his expertise and leadership."

Over at THQ, Robert Aniello has been appointed senior VP of worldwide marketing. Aniello was previously a VP of Mattel Interactive, and most recently worked as marketing VP for Jamdat / EA, where he helped to launch the EA Sports Big franchise. He will report to Kelly Flock, THQ's executive vice president of worldwide publishing.

"This is a very exciting time for THQ as we prepare to launch several new properties for next-generation systems beginning with Saints Row later this year," Flock commented.
