Michael MacMillan appointment

Joins board of mobile publisher Fuse.

TORONTO, ON - February 25, 2011

Yung Wu, Chairman of Fuse Powered ( www.fusepowered.com) today announced the appointment of Michael MacMillan to the company’s Board of Directors. In his role on the company’s board, MacMillan will be responsible for working closely with Fuse Powered’s senior management team in solidifying and executing the company’s strategic direction.

Established in 2009 in Toronto as ByteMark Games, the company announced a new publishing focus earlier this week, reflected by the new Fuse Powered branding. Already a leading mobile game developer – the company’s marquee game, Jaws™ outperformed all expectations on the App Store in late summer 2010 – Fuse is now applying that expertise to help other developers and companies in a comprehensive, data-driven publisher capacity.

“We’re delighted that someone of Michael’s caliber sees and understands the tremendous opportunity ahead,” said Wu, Chairman of the Board. “This addition is proof positive of Fuse’s ability to deliver what the market wants. With more than twenty years of experience in the media space, we look forward to the value Michael brings to our mission ahead. His track record of anticipating market changes and making successful game-changing decisions will bring incredible value to us.”

Michael MacMillan began his career in media in 1978, when he and two friends founded Atlantis Films with just $300 in start-up capital. Under Michael’s leadership, the company grew and acquired Alliance Communications via reverse takeover in 1998, to form Alliance Atlantis Communications. Under Michael’s continued leadership as Chairman and CEO, the company operated 13 Canadian television networks (including HGTV Canada, Showcase Television, History Television and Food Network), and was noted for its significant investment in Canadian content programming. With offices around the globe - Toronto, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Sydney, Los Angeles, Montreal and Vancouver - Alliance Atlantis Communications also produced and distributed movies and television programs, like the hit series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. MacMillan retired from Alliance Atlantis in 2007, after selling the company to Canwest Communications and Goldman Sachs for $2.3 billion.

“I see enormous opportunity for Fuse Powered,” said MacMillan. “With some solid early success already under the belt, I believe Fuse is in the right space at the right time. Its accomplished management team’s domain expertise and persistence will undoubtedly seize a leadership position in the rapidly growing mobile gaming market. I believe the iOS publishing space is a strong business play, not only from a technology standpoint, but more importantly, as one being fueled by consumer demand.”

MacMillan graduated from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario with a B.A. (Hons) in Film Studies. He currently resides with his wife and children in Toronto.
