FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
May 3rd, 2005 - MAX TV, Datel's sizzling shopping channel, has a new presenter. Charlie George has a wealth of acting, presenting and modeling experience. She has worked for several years as a photographic model, and has featured in several TV commercials. She's also provided voice-overs for various TV and radio commercials, and also the Sony PlayStation game Crime Killer. Charlie recently put her acting skills to the test filming a small part in a new drama for Granada called Cold Blood, which will air this Autumn on ITV.
Charlie graduated from Luton University in 2002 with a 2:1 BA Hons in Media Performance. While at university, she presented The Morning Glory breakfast show and the Love the DJ show on Luton FM. She also spent three years as a Pirelli Girl, traveling around the globe with the World Rally Championships, being photographed next to fast cars and getting a suntan. Thanks to her father's musical influence, Charlie is also a keen singer and has recorded backing vocals for various artists and her own demo single.
Commenting on her new role, Charlie said, "I've always had a thing for gadgets and computers, and I now have a larger collection of thingamajigs and whatchamabobs than inspector gadget himself! No wonder I'm so excited to be working here at Max TV - now I can talk about gadgets all day long!"
And before anyone asks, she's no relation to the Charlie George who played for Arsenal and England back in the Seventies...
