For Immediate Release

Staten Island, NY, April 28th, 2005 - Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) and 2by3 Games (www.2by3games.com) are pleased to announce the release of the latest post-release update for the acclaimed War In The Pacific.

This update includes a large list of fixes and improvements, ranging from submarine operations to kamikaze use. In total 55 minor bugs were repaired by this patch. Along with the fixes come 25 new player requested features! Features include new realism settings for upgrading units, new rules for cargo transports, balance changes and more. That isn't all! Finally, 27 more database corrections or additions were made, bringing the most realistic Pacific WWII simulation even closer to reality. With these changes it is very important for every War In The Pacific player to download this patch from the Matrix Games site at www.matrixgames.com.

The v1.50 update is available online as an incremental update that requires the previous installation of War in The Pacific 1.40.

Based on the highly acclaimed Uncommon Valor design, War In the Pacific is a completely new and massive undertaking that is widely considered a wargaming masterpiece from the veteran team at 2by3 Games.

The scale of War in the Pacific: The Struggle Against Japan 1941-1945 is 60 miles per hex and losses are individual vehicles, aircraft, guns and squads. Since half the planet Earth is covered by the titanic Pacific struggle, the game is massive in scope, covering thousands of ships and tens of thousands of aircraft. Virtually every ship, air group and battalion sized or larger troop formation is covered in exacting detail.
