Marvel promotes games tsar Jefferson to VP

Former Activision, Pixar man to "oversee development of all Marvel games"

Marvel Entertainment has promoted its director of Games TQ Jefferson to vice president of Production, Games.

Jefferson joined the superhero firm in 2008, following a producer stint at Activision and two years as Pixar's senior interactive manager.

In his new role, he will oversee development for all planned Marvel titles, which involves working with multiple third-party publishers - including Activision, Capcom, SEGA and THQ.

Jefferson will also help roadmap Marvel titles for all platforms, including online and mobile.

The new VP will report directly to Ira Rubenstein, EVP of Marvel's Global Digital Media Group. Said Rubenstein, "We at Marvel couldn't be more pleased to announce TQ's promotion to vice president of Production, Games.

"In the three years since he joined our team, TQ has gone to great lengths to increase the value of both our self-titled and licensed products. We look forward to seeing his continued success with the company over the next several years."

Currently on Jefferson's slate are Thor: God Of Thunder, Captain America: Super Soldier, Super Hero Squad Online, Marvel Universe and Marvel vs Capcom 3.
