Manga styling comes to City of Heroes

Wednesday 4 May 2005/... NCsoft Europe and Cryptic Studios have released a new set of screenshots, featuring City of Heroes concept costume art that demonstrates some of the new costume options that will be available in the free expansion of City of Heroes, Issue 4: Colosseum.

Many of the new costume options in the new update of City of Heroes include Asian-inspired style. In developing the new costumes, Cryptic Studios consulted with artists with NCsoft in Asia to create a set of costumes that would reflect Anime and Manga looks. Some of the costume styles include the car racer, school girl, martial arts expert and monk. Some of the female costume options include a kitten or small panda bear perched on the shoulder.

The images included in these screenshots include the actual concept art next to how the costumes will actually appear in the City of Heroes.

When City of Heroes, Issue 4 is released in the coming weeks, players can create new characters with the new costume options, and existing characters can visit the Icon tailor stores in Paragon City to update their costumes with the new features.
