Fast-growing US publisher Majesco Holdings has announced financial results for the full year ended October 31st, revealing that the firm more than doubled its revenues during the year, although its net loss also grew slightly.

The company, which is best known for its GBA Video range of titles and the BloodRayne action games, reported gross profit of $34.7 million on net revenues of $121 million for the full year, compared with $15.8 million gross profit on revenues of $46.6 million last year.

The fourth quarter in particular saw impressive growth, with revenues tripling to $45.3 million and operating income up to $5.6 million, turning around an operating loss of $7.5 million in the same period last year.

However, for the full FY2004 period, the company's net loss actually deepened slightly, with a loss of $11.2 million recorded for the year compared with a net loss of $10.8 million in 2003.

The company's forthcoming release schedule is its strongest ever, however, and it moves into 2005 expecting big things from titles including Advent Rising (Xbox, PC), Psychonauts (Xbox, PS2, PC), Advent Shadows (PSP), Moonlight Fables (DS) and Nanostray (DS).

The firm also has a deal with Chronicles of Riddick developer Starbreeze to develop a new title for next-generation platforms, which is rumoured to be a tie-in game for Dimension Films' forthcoming movie of the Darkness graphic novels.
