Lightplay Studios to Explore Growth Options Including Equity Investment, Merger, or Sale

Overland Park, Kansas - June 29, 2007 - Lightplay Studios, a privately held developer of games and lifestyle content for mobile devices, announced today that it is exploring a range of strategic growth options including equity investment, merger, or outright sale.

To assist in the formulation of a strategic plan, the company has retained FOG Studios, North America's leading agency for digital licensing and IP management.

"The demand for mobile development has grown to the point where our company cannot service all the opportunities available to us," said Rick J. Lucas, President and CEO of Lightplay Studios, "We're preparing to take Lightplay to the next level and have selected FOG Studios to help us chart the course".

"Lightplay Studios owns great intellectual property that's ripe for leveraging into multiple revenue-generating platforms," says FOG CEO Ed Dille. "Not only are titles such as ArrowBot, Blockup, and the award-winning Bubbletris and its upcoming sequel Bubbletris Deluxe widely recognized properties, they're also underexploited on all but a few mobile handsets. They're completely open for additional exploitation, but to date Lightplay has lacked the right partner to fully exploit them. We hope to help them find that partner."

Founded in 2001 by Lucas, a veteran of Electronic Arts and AT&T Wireless, Lightplay has worked with numerous mobile industry leaders including Airborne Entertainment, Glu Mobile, Hands-On Mobile, I-Play, and the Walt Disney Internet Group.
