Monday, April 24th - Lifemode Interactive,
who are established software developers behind the pioneering
facial animation technology LIFESTUDIO:HEAD, announced today
that their new LIFESTUDIO:LIPSYNC product is now available
for shipment.
LIFESTUDIO:LIPSYNC is a new sophisticated automatic
lip-synching tool that can be used within the Maya package
for automatically animating speaking characters. The key
benefits are that impressive animated results can be achieved
within minutes and will save an artist a tremendous amount of
time.
The pipeline is very straightforward: the plug-in prepares
lip-synch data according to a record of speech. These data
can be used as an input to a deformer of user's choice that
affects the character face mesh: it may be blendshapes,
driven keys, etc. Scripts may be effectively used thanks to a
simple data structure.
