Organisers of the forthcoming Game Developer Conference (GCDC) have announced a call for speakers and topic proposals for the event, seeking industry experts to share their experience and further game development.

Taking place from August 21-23 in Leipzig, the conference will be picking up on the latest trends and best business practice in the areas of PC, console and handheld game development, business, serious games and mobile entertainment.

Organisers are seeking submissions which examine these themes from first hand experience and offer insight and ideas for future growth - drawing on user reports, market insights and overviews, trend reports and evaluations of new technologies to establish and resolve industry issues and offer support for current and future games development across all platforms.

Interested parties can put forward their submissions immediately, by visiting www.gcdc-germany.com, which also details further information on submission requirements and deadlines.

The GCDC conference is celebrating its fourth year of operation in 2006, forming an integral part of Europe's leading industry showcase, the Leipzig Game Convention. This year, organisers are also promoting student development in the industry, with a call for student assistants during the show.

Student assistants with strong organisational skills and a desire to make contact with international games developers, publishers and industry professionals, as well as experiencing the latest trends in game development first hand, are invited to submit an application by visiting the GCDC homepage.
