LEGO Universe

New behind-the-scenes video shown at Leipzig.

LEIPZIG, Germany - August 22, 2008

The LEGO Group debuted a new behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming MMOG (massively multiplayer online game), LEGO Universe, during Games Convention Developers Conference. The video provides a look at how The LEGO Group is working with its fan community to create LEGO Universe, and reveals new art images from the game. Viewers will see footage from a recent event where a group of 49 adult fans – known as LUPs (LEGO Universe Partners) – came together with the game developers to build content for the MMOG. For more information, visit www.LEGOuniverse.com (or visit the new German language website at www.LEGOuniverse.de).

LEGO Universe is the first MMOG created for children and LEGO fans. The game will bring the LEGO play experience online, encouraging creativity, collaboration and communication between fans all over the world. Within LEGO Universe, players will safely create, build, quest and socialize together.

The new video expands on recently released footage by including more interviews and information about the LUP event, and also new concept visuals and character animations for LEGO Universe.
