Law summit to address game development issues

The upcoming Entertainment Technology Law Summit is to address issues surrounding financing and development in the videogame industry.

LucasArts' Seth Steinberg, Sony's Daniel Figueroa and THQ's James Kennedy will take part in the panel Video Game Development: The New Financing and Development Models, to discuss funding and creation of games based on movie and music licenses.

Other areas in entertainment to be addressed at the event include new distribution models, piracy, user-generated content and the mobile phone as a media centre.

The event takes place at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel in Seattle, August 16 and 17. More information can be found here.
