Larian Studios shows next RPG engine

Larian Studios today announced the first screenshots of its next-generation RPG engine

For Immediate Release May 16th, 2005

"These are screenshots from our new engine that we are showing around at E3" says Swen Vincke, managing director at Larian Studios. "In the past year we've been aggressively buying middleware technology to power our future titles, and the screenshots demonstrate what happens when you blend all that technology together and add our own flavour to it. The really cool thing is that these shots demonstrate but a fraction of what our next game will bring. We've been working hard on expanding our RPG engine with the necessary functionality to lead in tomorrow's market. I'm very excited about seeing all of it implanted in our next game, and I think it will delight gamers everywhere."
