Konami extends partnership with PlayFirst

Two new titles added as publisher continues its US mobile gaming push

Konami Digital Entertainment, the US subsidiary of the Japanese publisher and developer, has announced an extension of its partnership with full service publisher PlayFirst - adding two casual games to its product line-up.

Under the terms of the agreement, an extension of Konami's existing licensing, development and distribution partnership with PlayFirst which was announced recently, Konami Digital Entertainment will manage the mobile publishing and distribution of Pirate Poppers, developed by Mystery Studio, and Professor Fizzwizzle, developed by Grubby Games.

Joe Morris, Konami Digital Entertainment's VP of mobile content, commented: "Konami's mobile strategy includes a balance of popular casual games in addition to leveraging our internal brands. By partnering with strong performers in the casual gaming space like PlayFirst, we are able to offer our customers a top-quality mobile entertainment experience."

Both titles are currently available online as PC casual games, and Konami is expected to release the games for international markets on the mobile platform in 2007, expanding its current portfolio of licensed and original IP.
