Konami Digital Entertainment has confirmed its attendance at the Games Convention in Leipzig, with a line-up of five new products from Hideo Kojima's acclaimed development studio.
Attendees will be offered further insight into the development of the hugely anticipated next-gen debut of Metal Gear Solid, with a new video trailer showcasing the game's characters, theme and content on the PlayStation 3.
A playable version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence - a three disc epic for the PlayStation 2 console featuring online play and new gameplay additions - will also be available, in addition to two PSP titles.
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is the first action-oriented Metal Gear Solid title for the PSP (a direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater), following the successful launch of two card-based games under the Metal Gear Acid banner.
Kojima Productions will also be showcasing Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel, which was created in response to requests from fans of the series and connects the celebrated Metal Gear Solid comics with interactive gameplay modes.
Promoting the varied talents of the studio and its creative lead, Hideo Kojima, the studio will also be showing its first title for the Nintendo DS, Lunar Knights. Set within a real-time game world with a digital climate, where the top screen simulates real weather, Lunar Knights will be shown in a playable form in Europe for the first time.
The Games Convention will be held in Leipzig from August 23rd to 27th and Konami can be found in Hall 5, Booth F02. The publisher is expected to announce further information about its extensive exhibition program shortly.
