Konami "actively looking into" MGS4 release for Xbox 360 - report

Rumours resurface of Hideo Kojima's stealth title for Microsoft console

According to a new report, Konami is currently assessing the possibility of releasing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on Xbox 360.

Rumours of a 360 version of the popular PlayStation 3 title have been doing the rounds ever since the game was announced, but creator Hideo Kojima has often said that the game could only be made for PlayStation 3 because of the storage capacity of Blu-ray discs.

But according to a Tokyo Game Show article in the Morningstar, reported by IGN, a Konami rep has stated that "we're actively looking into a release for the Xbox 360".

As Japanese publishers seek growth in Western markets, a number of successful franchises previously associated with the PlayStation brand have begun to appear on Xbox 360, including Square Enix's Final Fantasy and most recently, Namco Bandai's Tekken.
