Koei reports record quarter results

Gundam titles help push publisher's sales to $225 million

Japanese publisher Koei has reported record sales in its most successful quarter.

Sales were up JPY 163 million (USD 1.83m) to JPY 20.1 billion (USD 225.2m) for the period ended December 31, reports Kotaku.

Operating profit was JPY 4.5 billion (USD 50.4m), an increase of JPY 968 million (USD 10.85m), compared to the same period in 2007.

Key sellers for the publisher were Gundam Musou 2 and Musou Orochi The Devil King's Second Coming.
