Koch Media Spain

PROEIN S.L. gets new monicker.

January 14th 2009

Koch Media took over the company PROEIN S.L. from the SCi Entertainment Group in late July 2008, and thereby established a valuable foothold in Europe's fourth-largest software market. As of the beginning of 2009, PROEIN S.L. has changed to Koch Media S.L.U.

"The change of name to Koch Media S.L.U. does not affect the quality of support that our partners in Spain have come to expect. In fact, the company's integration into the international Koch Media group guarantees increased competence of distribution and an even better service," says Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media.

"The reliability, solvency, and prestige of the Koch Media group will reinforce our agreements with international publishers and national partners. Koch Media Spain will maintain existing distribution partnerships, and will live up to the reputation Proein has built during more than 30 years as one of Spain's leading video games distributors," says Francesc Armengol, CEO of Koch Media Spain.

Koch Media has been one of the leading distributors of digital entertainment products in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, and the UK since 1994. The company's products range from application software through PC and console games to DVDs. Koch Media's own developing studio started in 2007 and the company has been represented on the American market since April 2008.

PROEIN, S.L. has focused on video games distribution since 1992, and has established numerous agreements with leading international companies that now benefit Koch Media S.L.U.

Just in time for the renaming, the official Spanish website is now also online, with more information about the company: www.kochmedia.es
