LONDON – Thursday 23 September 2010 –Xbox 360 announces today the launch of a nationwide competition, giving UK consumers the chance to experience the magic of controller-free gaming in their very own back yard. The ‘Kinect Comes To You’ competition will roll out at the end of September 2010, with members of the general public being invited to submit their reasons as to why Kinect for Xbox 360 should come to their local town, school, village, road or even backyard.
The competition mechanic is simple. Whoever wins this opportunity I’m sure, like me, will have a great time experiencing the amazing world of Kinect!” Fellow judge, Stephen McGill, also has high hopes for the competition: “This is an open invitation for people of all ages here in the UK to join the Kinect party and to be amongst the first to play the fun-filled array of new, controller-free Kinect games. I’m looking forward to reading what I anticipate will be some highly imaginative entries.” While Nick Burton from Rare Studios, adds: “Rare has been intimately involved with the Kinect story since its inception. In addition to developing the Kinect Sports title, the studio is thrilled to be involved with the Kinect Comes to You initiative.
