Kickstarter to headline Games Invest 2013

London investment event returns for small-to-medium-sized games and tech companies

Crowdfunding platform Kickstarter is to headline this year's Games Invest event, taking place as part of the GI Fair at the Eurogamer Expo.

Games Invest is an opportunity for small-to-medium-sized games and tech companies to meet with public and private games investment, through sessions, panels and networking.

Games companies also have the opportunity to pitch directly to investors during the event, which takes place Thursday September 26.

As well as Kickstarter, other investors already confirmed for Games Invest include Sega Europe, Standfast Interactive, Sony XDEV and Ian Livingstone OBE.

"We were very impressed with the companies we met at Games Invest 2012 and we are currently in final negotiations with one of them to fund their game," said CEO of Standfast Interactive, Morgan O'Rahilly.

"We look forward to meeting more exciting developers and seeing more innovative games at this year's event."

Early bird tickets for the event cost £75 plus booking fee, and include a morning of talks, networking lunch, full access to the Eurogamer Expo and GamesIndustry Fair. Attendees also receive an application form to apply for formal pitch meetings with investors on the day.

Tickets and more information can be found on the official site.
