Topping the bill is Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley, who will deliver the opening address. Other speakers will include Dr Richard Bartle, visiting professor in computer game design, University of Essex. Bartle is the author of 2003 book Designing Virtual Worlds.

"We are extremely proud to have Mr. Smedley and Dr. Bartle, two well respected industry leaders, share their experience and insight at this year's conference."

More than 70 sessions are planned for the AGC along eight conference tracks, and more than 130 speakers are expected to give speeches at the event. Tickets are priced at USD 145 for those registering by September 30 - more information is available from the conference website.
