Kempt signing

Advergame developer signs up with TIGA.

10 March, 2010

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced Kempt as its newest member.

Kempt is a flash games developer that specialises in the conception, production and promotion of Advergames. Kempt is a leading agency in this rapidly growing form of brand communications and the brains behind some of the biggest Advergame campaigns ever released including www.kingofdefenders.com, which has to date enjoyed 70 million visits worldwide, 4.6 million in the UK alone; and the critically acclaimed www.tooncrisis.com, amongst many others.

In addition to developing flash games the team at Kempt also run two large game portals: Tinymania.com and KillerViral.com. The company also developed a sophisticated monitoring system to assess the success of advergames, that has now become the industry standard for tracking advergame campaigns ( www.memecounter.com).

Company founder Chris Kempt explains the company’s reasons for joining TIGA:

“I have been highly impressed by TIGA’s work with NESTA on the ‘Playing The Game’ mentoring program. There are a lot of super talented, extremely creative, web development teams in the UK, but in the main they are quite small and it is extremely hard to grow to the next level. This program provided much needed support for younger businesses and real practical advice to help them achieve commercial growth. We are also very supportive of TIGA’s work in instigating the first All Party Parliamentary Group for the videogames industry and in raising the profile of the UK video games industry in general.”

Richard Wilson CEO at TIGA adds:

“Kempt is one of the most successful and highly regarded advergames developers in the UK. The company is a great example of a small, extremely talented group of people who were able to spot a genuine opportunity in the market and help to define a new genre in advertising for commercial companies. We hope their expertise will be very useful to other TIGA members.”
