Kakuro Infinite Edition – The Next Big Japanese Puzzle Craze Is Now Available On CD-ROM!
15th December 2005
So, what is Kakuro? It's another entertaining and highly addictive Japanese puzzle game that is captivating puzzle lovers across the UK. It's called crosssums in the US, Kakro in Japan and Kakuro in the UK!
Already bigger than Sudoku in Japan, it's predicted to be the next big thing in the puzzle market and is now appearing in leading national newspapers. Some consider it to be more difficult than Sudoku, so it's a natural progression for all those Sudoku fans out there looking for a new challenge!
Like Sudoku, Kakuro is played on grids of varying sizes and can best be described as a mathematical crossword. Each grid consists of blank and filled squares similar to a crossword puzzle. Some filled in squares have a diagonal slash across them with two numbers (one above and one below) - these are the 'clues'. The object of the puzzle is to fill in the squares using the numbers 1 to 9, making sure they add up to the number attached to that row, and without repeating a number.
Kakuro - Infinite Edition features 4 board sizes to choose from, 3 levels of difficulty, plus lots of handy hints and tips. Don't worry if you've never played the game before, the program includes a tutorial on how to solve Kakuro. Plus, with an infinite number of puzzles to get your teeth into, it's guaranteed to provide hours of brain-teasing and addictive fun!
Steve Powell, Sales Director at GSP says "As the No.1 publisher of Sudoku software, we are pleased to be the first publisher to launch a Kakuro CD-ROM. Kakuro - Infinite Edition is available now and we've had a great response from retail, with a number of stores stocking the title this side of Christmas."
Kakuro - Infinite Edition has an SRP of £9.99.
