Japanese charts: resurgent PS2 breaks into top ten

Super Robot Wars: Original Generations has sold 346,000 copies in the week ended July 1, knocking last week's number one, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, off the top spot.

The Japanese top ten this week has three new PlayStation 2 titles, with Bandai's RPG titles Tales of Fandom Volume 2: Luke Version and Tales of Fandom Volume 1: Tia Version entering the charts at numbers seven and eight respectively.

Other new entries in the top ten include Sony's Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile for the PSP at number five and Benesse's Initial English Training for the DS at number ten.

The top ten Japanese best-sellers for the week ended July 1 follow:
