Wireless entertainment publisher Jamdat Mobile has announced a new addition to its board of directors, with eBay chief financial officer Rajiv Dutta set to join the firm after it completes its planned IPO.

Dutta currently oversees financial planning, investor relations and finance support for all of eBay's business operations, a key role at the company which is considered to be one of the most successful online businesses in the world.

Jamdat recently announced plans for an initial public offering, making it into the first publisher of mobile entertainment to float on the stock exchange. Other companies in the sector remain wary of IPO plans, and are largely focused on organic growth or new rounds of private funding.

Jamdat plans to issue some 5.3 million shares in its initial offering, with an expected price of between $13 and $15.
