Jagex boss confirmed for Edinburgh Interactive

CEO of Runescape developer to address the evolving online market

Jagex' CEO Mark Gerhard has been confirmed for this year's Edinburgh Interactive event, taking place August 11-12.

Discussing The Multiplayer Revolution, the outspoken boss of the Runescape developer will explain why the games industry is playing catch up to an evolved online audience.

"The gaming landscape is evolving at such a pace that developers have to move quickly to keep up with player's expectations," said Gerhard. "In the session I will be sharing my view that multiplayer online games hold the key to the future of the industry, and give my analysis of how we as a company have adapted to stay ahead of the pack."

Other confirmed speakers include Somethin' Else's Steve Ackerman, Edward Williams of BMO Capital and Jo Twist of Channel 4.
