iPhone version of Torque engine hits version 1.1.

For Immediate Release

GarageGames, the leading technology provider for independent game developers, has released an update to their 2D game engine for the iPhone. This update includes texture compression using iPhone native PowerVR libraries, and optimizations yeilding up to 300% increases in performance.

"When we first announced announced the availability of iTorque, we were absolutely flooded with inquiries," said Brett Seyler, Garagegames' VP of Business Development. "Today, there are still only rare opportunities for developers to work with commercial quality technology for the iPhone--our tech continues to improve daily, and we're really seeing the door open for richer, more sophisticated games in the App Store."

GarageGames has also provided that they've now licensed iTGB to more than 100 companies. The 1.1 release is available now on GarageGames website. For more information, check out iTGB on GarageGames.com.
