IOMO takes five of the Vodafone top ten

Mobile games developer IOMO has recorded a significant victory in the burgeoning sector, with half of the games in the top ten of the latest Vodafone Live chart being created by the company.

Mobile games developer IOMO has recorded a significant victory in the burgeoning sector, with half of the games in the top ten of the latest Vodafone Live chart being created by the company.

The five games in the latest Vodafone chart, published on January 9th, are Tomb Raider: The Quest for Cinnabar (number two), Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf (number three), Pub Pool (number five), Tomb Raider: The Osiris Codex (number six) and Monopoly (number nine).

The five games in question were published by four different publishers, including one self-published title, namely Pub Pool. The Vodafone chart is based on downloads across the Vodafone Live network, which is the largest multimedia service for mobile phones in the UK.

Given the number of companies working on the creation of games for the mobile space, it's quite an achievement for one developer to have so many titles in the Vodafone listing, according to IOMO managing director John Chasey.

"We were delighted to find our titles featured so often in the latest Vodafone chart," enthused Chasey. "As a company we have been lucky enough to work with many of the leading mobile games publishers in the world, with some very well known brands and licences⦠The Vodafone Top Ten is based on downloads, so having this sort of endorsement from phone owners is just incredible."
