Marseille, Monday, 13 September 2010. Today, the 7th International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) invites game developers from all over the world to enter a competition for the best mobile games produced in 2010. Registration can be carried out online at www.imgawards.com.
The IMGA is the oldest, largest and most truly international competition for mobile games in the world. Since it started in 2004, the IMGA has recognized and awarded the most talented game developers on the planet.
Over the past 6 years, the IMGA has become the leading showcase in the mobile entertainment industry for the best and most innovative mobile games, whether they are made for iPhone, Samsung or Nokia phones, whether they are made by the top ten developers or a start up studio, individual or student, or whether the developers came from Malaysia, the Philippines or from Brasil, China or the Netherlands.
For the first time this year, the 7th IMGA will be celebrated with a one day Summit at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 17 February 2011. The Summit will end with the Awards Ceremony where 9 prizes will be handed out: the 6 winners in each of the categories plus the Operators’ Choice award, the People’s Choice Award and the prestigious Grand Prix.
Leading pioneers in the mobile games industry will be attending and speaking at this important new event and several panels will allow operators, handset manufacturers, developers and publishers to exchange ideas on the future of the industry'.
Other important changes in this 7th year include 2 new categories: Best Sports Game and Most Innovative Game, as well as a completely redesigned website, with more news and features, and much more to come in the next few months.
As of today, developers can submit their game online at www.imgawards.com and compete in an international arena with top studios and individual developers from all over the world.
