Inside Gaming Awards

Nominees and voting process unveiled; show to take place next month.

Los Angeles, CA – November 19, 2010 – Machinima.com -- the next generation video entertainment network for videogamers that draws over 37 million monthly unique visitors -- today announced the nominees and voting process for the second annual Inside Gaming Awards . The show will take place on December 10, 2010 at a private event in Hollywood, CA. Machinima.com’s flagship show ‘Inside Gaming’ will air a special nominations episode starting on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Wrap-up footage of the awards, winners and other behind the scenes events will premiere on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 and a second show debuts on December 18, 2010, all on www.youtube.com/machinima.

Inside Gaming Awards’ nominees may receive two different types of awards – the official ‘Inside Gaming Awards’ (17 categories) voted on by the Machinima.com staff, and ‘Gamers’ Choice Awards’ (11 categories) voted on by the consumers. The categories include Game of the Year; Best Trailer; Best Multiplayer; Best Narrative; Best Art Direction; Best Animation; Best Sound Design; Best Game Cinematography; Best Original Score; Best Innovation in Game Design; Most Original Game; Best Downloadable Game; Best Indie game; Most Compelling Character; Best DLC; Best Control; and Best Weapon. Community voting for the ‘Gamers’ Choice Awards’ kicks off on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, and will be tallied based on the number of views each nominee’s video receives until December 9, 2010, while the ‘Gamers’ Choice’ Game of the Year will be decided via Twitter votes. Red Dead Redemption leads with eight nominations, while Halo: Reach and Call of Duty®: Black Ops both have six nods each. The Inside Gaming Awards was established to provide an alternative look at the current year’s highlights in gaming and is tailored to appeal to the vast community of global gamers who engage and interact across Machinima.com’s network. Inside Gaming Awards footage will air on Machinima.com’s YouTube Channel, which is the #1 entertainment channel of all time on YouTube with more than 1.7+ billion video views thus far in 2010.
