Infinium hires ex-Sony man to spearhead Phantom marketing

Infinium Labs has hired Andrew Schneider, formerly of Sony Pictures Digital, to spearhead its marketing efforts for the Phantom Gaming Service, which is due to launch on November 18th.

Schneider will take up the position of senior vice president of marketing, having previously occupied a similar role as senior vice president and general manager of SPD's media software and service group.

During his time there he was responsible for launching interactive TV versions of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and creating an online companion to Dawson's Creek. Prior to that he also worked for NBC Network Marketing.

Infinium Labs president Kevin Bachus believes that Schneider's innovative ideas and experience in the entertainment sector will prove key to the success of Phantom. "Andrew has a proven track record in delivering marketing and business development results, and he understands how to captivate our customers and our partners," he said in a statement.

"The Phantom Gaming Service provides ease-of-use and convenience in delivering quality games straight to customers, any time, day or night, on demand," Schneider himself added. "I'm very excited to be joining such a talented team at the forefront of a major trend in broadband content distribution."
