India bans 59 Chinese apps, including Clash of Kings
Moonton's Mobile Legends also banned over security concerns
The Indian government has banned a total of 59 mobile apps, including two gaming apps, citing a threat to national security.
According to Asian News International, the bans specifically targeted Chinese apps, with the government stating that those affected were "prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order."
Among the apps banned were Elex Tech's mobile MMO strategy title Clash of Kings, and Moonton's MOBA Mobile Legends.
However, other Chinese titles that are widely popular in India, such as PUBG Mobile, were not banned.
The bans come amid an ongoing border clash between China and India that in mid-June resulted in 20 Indian soldiers killed at the Line of Actual Control.
