Independent Propeller Awards
Nominated video games demoed at SXSW.
WHAT: Online independent gaming community indiePub invites South by Southwest (SXSW) attendees to swing by their booth to demo video games from selected finalists for SXSW's first ever indie video games competition, the Independent Propeller Awards. Seven lucky contestants vie for a chance to win $150,000 in total cash prizes, awards recognizing innovation and development, and the opportunity for their titles to be published by indiePub, in cooperation with Zoo Publishing.
Attendees will have the opportunity meet with the finalists and see their games first-hand during SXSW ScreenBurn Arcade, the gaming portion of the SXSW Interactive Festival.
CEO of Zoo Entertainment and indiePub founder Mark Seremet will also be available for inquiries and interviews.
The grand prize winner will be revealed during the Independent Propeller Awards ceremony on March 13 at the Day Stage, hosted by Adam "Atomic" Saltsman, of indie hit Canabalt, and Meredith Molinari, host of PlayStation Network's The Tester.
*The awards ceremony is open to all SXSW badge holders.
