FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, TEXAS (Nov. 7, 2008) – Mary-Margaret Network announces a virtual option to the day-long job fair at the Independent Game Conference (IGC) Thursday, Nov. 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, Austin.

“Adding the virtual option enables exhibitors and job seekers to actively participate in the job fair, and benefit from networking opportunities, without having to be present in Austin,” said Mary-Margaret Walker, CEO of Mary-Margaret Network. “We’re opening the door for world-wide industry talent to connect with hiring companies to partner and advance their careers—saving on travel costs is just an added bonus!”

The two-day, IGC event (Nov. 19 and 20) includes seminars on raising money to invest in a game studio, emerging development platforms, development for the iPhone, game politics, IP protection, game audio design and recruiting vs. outsourcing. The conference also boasts the hugely successful Game Demo Night featuring developers showcasing their latest games for their peers.

Mary-Margaret Network will conduct on-site raffles for resume “Overhauls” and “Tune-Ups” to kick off the launch of their new services featured here: http://www.mary-margaret.com/candidateregistration.aspx. Anyone signed up for the event will be entered into the drawings; entrants need not be present to win.

Virtual exhibitors will be represented on the floor with materials sent to the event and will receive all paper resumes collected at their booth and have access to all online resumes as well. To register as an Exhibitor for the job fair e-mail jobs@mary-margaret.com.

Virtual candidates will be able to post their resume on the Mary-Margaret Network Web site for conference exhibitors to view before, during and after the event and will receive a package of all materials from exhibiting companies.
