In-Fusio to develop mobile titles for Microsoft

Mobile game provider In-Fusio has signed a deal with Microsoft Game Studios which will see the company developing and publishing mobile titles based on some of the company's biggest franchises.

The seven titles which have been chosen for "porting" to handsets are Age of Empires 2, Midtown Madness 3, Zoo Tycoon, Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Banjo Pilot, It's Mr Pants and Sabre Wulf - the latter four all being Rare properties.

The first game to appear under the terms of the deal, which gives In-Fusio exclusive worldwide rights to create wireless games based on those franchises, is Midtown Madness 3, which is scheduled for launch in June 2004.

"In-Fusio's broad platform support and legions of players made them an excellent choice for bringing some of our biggest game titles to wireless devices," according to Microsoft Game Studios' consumer products group director, Ed Ventura. "Each of these games already has worldwide appeal, and once they're wireless, people will truly be playing
