In brief: this week's product announcements

Saints Row, FlatOut, Pokemon, Final Fantasy and more

Each week, GamesIndustry.biz brings you a round-up of all the latest game announcements. This week, THQ and Atari ready PS3 launch titles, while Empire announces the third title in the FlatOut series.

THQ will release Saints Row on the PlayStation 3 this spring. The title has already enjoyed success on the Xbox 360, and a mobile version of the game is also due later this year, as the publisher expands the brand across formats.

SouthPeak Games' Xbox 360 and PC title Two Worlds is to come to the UK in May. The free-roaming RPG is developed by Reality Pump, the team behind real-time strategy title Earth 2140.

Ubisoft will distribute Free Running for the PSP and PS2 in Europe. Developed by Reef Entertainment, the game will arrive on store shelves March 16.

The French publisher also has a sequel to Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII in development. Blazing Angels: Secret Missions is due this spring on Xbox 360 and Games for Windows.

Glasgow-based developer Slam has had its puzzle game Spinworld selected as a Windows Vista Showcase Game. Vista users will be able to download the title directly to PCs running the new operating system.

Nobilis and 1C Company have inked a deal to bring two titles to Europe. Fantasy Wars and Death to Spies will be available in Q2 and Q3, respectively.

Japan's fastest selling Pokemon titles, Diamond and Pearl, will be available in North America from April. The two titles shipped five million units in three months after release in Japan in September 2006.

Midway will release Blitz: The League for Xbox 360 on February 27. The sports title will also retail at the lower RRP of GBP 29.99, as opposed to the standard Xbox 360 price of GBP 49.99.

Also recently announced by Midway are two new handheld products - Touchmaster for the DS and Hot Brain for the PSP - with both currently scheduled for release in the summer.

Nintendo continues to support the Game Boy Advance, with the release of Final Fantasy V Advance scheduled in Europe for March 16.

Empire Interactive has revealed that FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage is in production for the Xbox 360. The racer is the third game in the series, and follows sales of FlatOut 2, which have reached one million copies worldwide.

Atari will be bringing Namco Bandai shooter Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight to Europe in time for the launch of the PlayStation 3. The publisher has also announced Godzilla: Unleashed for the PSP, Wii and DS, currently scheduled for an Autumn release.

Codemasters has announced a release date for TOCA Race Driver 3 Challenge on PSP. The title is designed exclusively for PSP and will arrive on shelves February 16.
