Imagine is Xbox 360 market leader

UK's fastest growing consumer specialist publisher retains its number one position, according to the latest ABC circulation results

According to the latest ABC circulation figures (Jan-Jun06) Imagine Publishing remains the biggest selling publisher of unofficial Xbox 360 magazines in the UK, with 34,974 magazines sold every month, compared to just 23,183 of its nearest rival.

The figures show that Imagine Publishing now has 52% of the unofficial Xbox 360 magazine market and a massive 31% of the total Xbox 360 magazine market (which includes the official title).

Since the launch of 360 magazine and its sister title, X360, in 2005, Imagine Publishing has dominated the sales of unofficial Xbox 360 magazines in the UK, and its two magazines offer a unique advertising proposition to capture all types of readers, with 360 attracting older, more sophisticated readers, and X360 capturing hardcore gamers who want quality editorial and opinion they can trust.

Since Imagine first launched into the Xbox 360 market there has been fierce competition and new magazines launched against it, but as these new results show, the Bournemouth-based company's titles remain the magazines of choice for Xbox 360 owners.

Editor in Chief, Simon Phillips commented:

"We're thrilled by these results as they further cement our position as the number one publisher of unofficial videogames magazines. Owning 50% share of this key market gives us an immensely strong foothold to build upon in the second half of the year, which is traditionally the strongest for magazine sales."
