Imagination Award 2008

Rebel Monkey's Nicholas Fortugno to present at New York City's Lincoln Center.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, NY, May 28, 2008 – Rebel Monkey TM , a New York casual game house, today announced that company co-founder Nicholas Fortugno is presenting on a featured panel as part of the Lincoln Center Institute's Imagination Award 2008 on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. This all-day event recognizes New York City public schools for excellence in integrating creativity and imagination into their teaching methods and curricula.

Rebel Monkey co-founder Nick Fortugno is speaking during the Lincoln Center's "Imagination Conversation", a panel discussion addressing innovation and the imagination in both educational and professional settings. A veteran of casual game design, Nick Fortugno was notably the Lead Designer of the original Diner Dash game, spurring a brand new game genre.

"Video games play an integral role in helping people envision situations and events," said Nick Fortugno, Co-Founder and President of Rebel Monkey. "They serve as a great opportunity to touch people's minds and hearts and to foster real change in the world."

Established in 2007, New York-based Rebel Monkey recently raised $1 million in Series A financing from Redpoint Ventures, of Menlo Park, CA. The money is earmarked to take casual games to a whole new level of socializing and interactivity.

The "Imagination Conversation", moderated by Cynthia McFadden of ABC News, will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Center's Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse (Rose Building, 70 Lincoln Center Plaza, 65th Street, between Broadway & Amsterdam).
