iGames Expo 2008

"The E3 of the LAN center industry" (woohoo) to be staged next month in San Jose.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, July 31, 2008—With iGames Expo 2008 just a few weeks away, several attendees hailed the event as the “must-attend” conference of the year as leading LAN center organizer and show host iGames announced several additional activities, which will be held August 25-27 in San Jose, CA as part of NVISION 08.

“It’s definitely the highlight of my year,” said Shanni Yost, Owner, Strike Zone Gaming, Fenton, MI. “You might even call it ‘the E3 of the LAN center industry,’ particularly with NVISION in the mix this year.”

“I can hardly wait to meet the other LAN center owners,” said Jonathan Zook, Owner, LanLizards, Inc., Mishawaka, IN. “The networking opportunities and seminars are great, and just being there takes me away from the day-to-day responsibilities of my store and gets me to think about my business in a totally new light.”

Since 2004, iGames Expo has brought together LAN center owners from across North America and those interested in the LAN center industry to attend seminars, network, learn about new technology, and discuss topics that are important to their business and the industry as a whole.

This year, along with a full roster of seminars, there will be a plethora of social activities that will enable all attendees to enjoy their visit to Silicon Valley, but also to network and gather feedback in an informal context from fellow LAN center owners. Among the activities are two hosted dinners with members of the iGames staff, as well as a free performance from Video Games Live, the acclaimed ensemble that performs orchestral versions of classic video game themes.

For those who just want to stick to business, the key activities of iGames Expo 2008 will include:

• Seminars focused on various aspects of LAN center business management

• Presentations from publishers providing the low-down on upcoming games

• Open forum discussions on key industry topics

• Opportunities to learn about new services from iGames and how they provide LAN centers efficiency and monetary savings

• Networking opportunities with experienced LAN center owners during social activities exclusively organized for iGames Expo attendees

This year, iGames Expo is open to anyone who is interested in the LAN center industry. Registration ends on August 15th and discounts are available to iGames members.
