iEntertainment launches mobile division

Wireless MMO titles in development

Online entertainment publisher iEntertainment Network is making its debut in the mobile gaming market, with the launch of a new dedicated wireless gaming subsidiary called iMagic Mobile.

Focusing exclusively on the company's core strategy of establishing the best online gaming communities, the new mobile division aims to bring multiplayer technologies, massively multiplayer online games and prize-based competitive networked titles to the wireless market.

The company will develop its own mobile MMO games use existing in-house IPs, as well as licensing additional multiplayer games for the platform, and will be filing for additional undisclosed massively multiplayer mobile gaming patents in the near future.

JW Stealey, iMagic Mobile and iEntertainment CEO, commented: "iEntertainment Network has always focused its efforts on massively multiplayer video gaming. We even own an important patent to enable massively multiplayer gaming. We will take this same focus, some important new patents, and new products to the mobile market."

The fledgling mobile division will be assisted in its ambitions and future growth by consulting and venture capital firm Lighthouse Partners, and is expected to announce the first of its wireless MMO titles in the next few months.
