I-play announces global launch of Skipping Stone

Critically acclaimed 'one thumb' mobile game now available

The first in a series of 'one thumb' titles from I-Play, Skipping Stone, which has already received incredible critical acclaim, is available for download from today.

Based on the ancient game of skipping stones across water, the title was voted Game of the Show by MSNBC at this year's annual E3 expo. At the GDC Mobile conference in San Francisco, Wireless Gaming Review's founder, Matthew Bellows named the title as 'one to watch' in his review of promising mobile game releases.

Paul Maglione, Senior Vice President of Publishing and Marketing, I-play commented: "This game is the very definition of pick up and play. We are incredibly excited to launch this hugely anticipated title. True to the philosophy of I-play, Skipping Stone has something to offer hardcore videogames players and novice game players alike. It provides instantly accessible gameplay, combined with the challenge to keep going back and beating your own previous high scores."

The title has already received overwhelming industry support, picking up review scores of 10/10 and 9.0/10 from Mobile Choice and IGN Wireless respectively.

Available from today through mobile phone operators and online portals in Europe, Asia Pacific, North and South America, Skipping Stone is the first of several titles being released over the coming months by I-play; all of which will focus on the simple, addictive pick up and play qualities of 'one thumb' gaming.

I-play has been creating mobile games since 1998 and continues to innovate, creating mass market games for the next generation of handsets. Titles are available through mobile phone operators, online portals and retail stores across the world.
