Hyperlab raises valuation to $7.5m

Mobile outfit headed by former Crytek staff completes seed funding round

Istanbul-based firm Hyperlab has raised its valuation to $7.5 million following a round of seed funding.

The studio, which specialises in hypercasual mobile titles, was founded in 2019 by former Crytek employees Abdurrahman Kurt, Berat Can, Halit Altuntaş, and Utku Bayat.

Crytek co-founder Avni Yerli and ACT Capital founder Ali Can Temel were among investors in the seed round, though the total figure was not disclosed.

Yerli said that he believes in the "potential" of the Hyperlab team, as it seeks to expand with the funds raised.

"As a result of the corporate culture we have created, there is a strong bond between team members and we believe that this component plays a key role in our success," said Kurt.
