Hudson licenses Tira Jump Product Suite

Bomberman creator becomes latest firm to sign up porting system

The mobile division of Hudson Entertainment Inc has become the latest company to sign up the Tira Jump Product Suite, a technology platform aimed to ease the process of porting mobile applications to the wide range of devices and networks required for a full product roll-out.

The company, which is a major provider of software to key US carriers Verizon and Cingular, is probably best known for classic titles such as Bomberman and Lode Runner, originally created by Japanese parent company Hudson Soft.

Hudson, which formerly used Tira Jump as a services client but has now acquired a license to deploy the product suite internally, joins a wide number of industry leaders who use Tira for porting their titles - with over half of the industry's top publishers now using the system.

"Hudson has effectively leveraged its three decades of console gaming experience to quickly become a leader in the mobile content market," commented Tira Wireless CEO Doug Barre.

"We welcome Hudson as a licensee, knowing that our technology will further advance their mobile content deployment capabilities within their internal and external teams and enable them to create even more compelling mobile content for the market.
