HandyGames at GC

German mobile developer revealing its future plans in Leipzig.

Giebelstadt, August 11th 2008

HandyGames TM , one of the leading mobile games developers in Europe, draws a mid-year balance on the occasion of the most important industry trade fare, the Games Convention, and presents in Leipzig new games and innovations, that are on the roadmap till the end of 2008.

The company is especially taking pride in the HandyGames TM team's effectiveness of labour: "By the end of 2008 we will have succeeded in publishing 24 products in one year term, with a team of just 35 employees," said HandyGames TM CEO Markus Kassulke. "This is an effort and performance that is unique in the industry."

The amount of the published titles show the broad variety of HandyGamesTM: the German mobile games publisher has released, contrary to its present reputation, far more than just hardcore games. "Our product portfolio contains a fair 50/50-mix between hardcore and casual games", says HandyGamesTM CEO Christopher Kassulke. "In the current year we published with games like Aces of the Luftwaffe or Panzer Tactics 2 several hardcore games, but by the end of 2008 HandyGamesTM will have released the same amount of casual games, that are covering all topics from quiz to erotic."

The prize winning developer, who has already won more than 100 awards, will adhere to this strategy in future, too. There are a lot of games intended till the end of the year: mobile gamer can look forward to World of Dice, play along the French invasion to England in AD 1066 – William, the Conqueror and let Romans and Barbarians fight against each other. In late autumn The Great Bible Game is on the release plan, while in Little Firefighter you are on your way to extinguish the fire in hell. Furthermore a refreshing new variant of a casual game is waiting towards the end of the year: 4 In A Wheel. Last but not least there will be a new edition of another HandyGamesTM success title: With Dr. Kamasutra Sextrainer 2 the gamers can then deepen their erotic knowledge.

Besides the classical mobile games HandyGamesTM will deal more with the WAP technology – Dr. Kamasutra Sextrainer will soon be also available for mobile internet at different mobile service providers.

Moreover the HandyGamesTM-team will concentrate on the realisation of the "never seen on mobile"-concepts, that created 2008 games like Bridge Bloxx, Dynamite Fishing or Park or Die already. World of Dice will also be a development that is a real innovation for the mobile game world. The dice game's control was developed especially for the current motion sensing technology. So the mobile phone is the new virtual dice cup. It goes without saying that there will be an individual programmed control also for mobile phones that are not having this feature yet.

These innovations are an important counterpoint to the very equal engines you are frequently facing in the market, means HandyGamesTM CFO Udo Bausewein. "It is our small, but forceful team that brings HandyGamesTM in a situation being able to react on new moves in the market and to develop games both quickly and in a top quality. Currently a game from HandyGamesTM has a developmental period from three to six month, what is by the way valid for both in-house titles and contract works." That it is possible to publish top games in short time with a big success shows the current award, that HandyGamesTM has won for Townsmen 5: The PG.biz Quality Index for the first quarter of the year at the British website pocketgamer.biz ranked the game on the first place, even in front of all games published by the three market leaders.

This is the foundation of the leading German mobile games developer's motto: „In Time. In Budget. Made in Germany.“ – A slogan that is also convincing in the B2B sector: Besides the development of mobile games HandyGamesTM is a trustable content aggregator for many portals already, which entrusting the distribution and billing of their games to the company from Giebelstadt, Germany.

Of course HandyGamesTM is also present at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany this year. The HandyGamesTM team is available for personal conversations there. The contact address for making an appointment is: info@handy-games.com
