Hands-On Mobile Brings the World to the Cream of Independent Mobile Game Developers

Indie Developer Programme to be unveiled at launch event in November

LONDON, UK-OCTOBER 8, 2007-Hands-On Mobile, the world's leading developer of connected games and applications, today announces its Indie Developer Programme, which will both recognise and promote the best independent developers of mobile games. Hands-On Mobile is gathering the cream of Europe's developer talent at an event that will officially unveil the programme in November.

Eric Hobson, President and General Manager EMEA, Hands-On Mobile said: "For several years now, in addition to in-house development, we've working with some of the best indie developers to bring great games to a global audience. Whilst we continue to work with our current partners we know that there is a lot of untapped talent and potential in the market, which we believe deserves to be seen."

Tuna Snax ( www.tunasnax.com) is one independent developer that Hands-On Mobile has worked with to bring global success to one of its biggest games - Asteroid Zone. Through Hands-On Mobile's relationships and unparalleled distribution network Asteroid Zone has been taken by more than 100 carriers worldwide, including many of the difficult to access tier one European carriers. The global reach that Hands-On Mobile has provided means that mobile gamers are playing Asteroid Zone in Europe, North America, South East Asia and Australasia, as well as less frequently thought of markets such as India and Russia.

Eric Hobson continued: "We want to offer independent developers the opportunity to bring their games to a global audience. Mobile distribution channels are hugely fragmented and pose a real problem to an independent developer, Hands On can solve that issue for them. There are some real undiscovered gems out there and we want to work with these elite developers to put their games in front of the world's mobile phone users."

Hands-On Mobile's first Independent Developer Event will be held on November 29th and 30th in Bollington, Cheshire. For more information and to register you interest please Louise Howard at Hands-On Mobile at: lhoward@handson.com
